As a former fashion editor and stylist for HONOLULU Magazine, Stacey Makiya’s work included conceptualizing, producing and editing fashion editorials. She entered the world of fashion in 2007 as an editor for SMART Magazine, and since then has worked for various local publications, styled fashion shows and commercial models, contributed to local fashion blogs, and assisted in executing the inaugural runway shows for HONOLULU Fashion Week. Her passion for giving back is deeply rooted going back to hanabata days when she would visit senior homes and talk story with the residents, volunteer in soup kitchens and participate in beach cleanups. Stacey is a graduate of the University of Hawai‘i’s journalism program.
