Since joining H&M’s retail team in 2006, local girl Rebecca Wong has been making strides. She’s now the regional expansion administrator for the company’s West division and was recently in Hawaii to help set up H&M’s first Hawaii store.

Hui Makaala Fashion Show 10.21.12

On October 21, the Hui Makaala Scholarship Fund Luncheon and Fashion Show took place at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. The event included fashions from Monstuki, Amos Kotomori and a clothing collection debut by Kumu Hula Sonny Ching.

Loveizm Fashion Show at Fishcake 5.9.12

On May 9, Lovelessizm and Lava Roses designer Richie Miao debuted Loveizm, a high-end apparel line with urban, edgy designs for men and women. Models showed off zipper-embellished jackets, ruched dresses, and shirts with asymmetrical hems in soft, silk–cotton blends and modals. The event was also a viewing party for Melissa Rivera-Torres, a local designer who recently competed in HGTV's "The White Room Challenge."
