The Joy of Sake featured a public tasting of 384 junmai, ginjo and daiginjo sakes from the U.S. National Sake Appraisal. Sixteen Hawaii restaurants served appetizers to accompany the sakes.

On October 26, Hawaii Business hosted its annual Wahine Forum at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom. The event, meant to support women in business, featured workshops and a keynote address with leaders in Hawaii business.

On October 26, the second annual Lei Chic Mercedes-Benz Pop-Up Boutique transformed the Mercedes-Benz showroom into a place to buy local fashion, jewelry, swimwear and more. The event featured local designers, exclusive pieces and special discounts.

On October 19, The Slopes of Diamondhead HUI presented their wild annual fundraiser Crazy, Sexy, Ghoul at Aloha Tower. Thousands of people showed up in costume and proceeds went directly to Make-A-Wish Hawaii.

On August 25, the U.S. Green Building Council, Hawaii Chapter, hosted their 2nd annual Green Gala at Warehouse MR1.1 in Kakaako. This fundraiser celebrated the efforts of local designers, builders and community leaders as they work towards a greener future.

Mercedes-Benz of Honolulu hosted an event for Big White and Silver Star, Canada's favorite family ski resorts. The social event gave away a number of door prizes, including a trip for two to the ski resorts.

On August 18, Acura of Honolulu hosted its 2nd annual "Ai on Japan" Golf Tournament Fundraiser at Ko Olina Golf Club. After the golfing, the event featured an awards banquet, silent auction and benefit concert at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.

On July 31, USBG held its "Most Imaginative Bartender" competition at Pearl Ultralounge at Ala Moana Center.

On July 14, the Hawaii Korean Chamber of Commerce held the annual Korean Festival at Kapiolani Park in Waikiki. The event presents authentic Korean culture through food, dance, art, music and entertainment.

On July 12, the Marie-Chantal boutique celebrated its first anniversary at DFS Galleria Waikiki with mini cupcakes, face painting, balloons, music and bib embroidery. Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece personally attended the event to cut the birthday cake.

On July 7, the Kumu Kahua Theatre hosted their annual Kala-Bash Fundraiser and silent auction at their location on 46 Merchant Street.

The Sony Open in Hawaii Golf Tournament raised $1 million to distribute to 150 Hawaii non-profit organizations.

On June 13, the Shidler Alumni Association hosted its fourth annual Dine Around event at the Royal Hawaiian Center. It featured samplings of signature dishes with beer/wine pairings at the 5-0 Bar.

On May 24, the Shidler College of Business Alumni Association, Manoa Campus, and the Young Lawyers Divison of the Hawaii State Bar Association hosted a networking mixer for professionals at Vice Nightclub.

At this year's Shop for Higher Education Awards, Foodland granted nearly 100 Hawaii high school seniors college scholarships. Since the program began in 2006, more than 600 scholarships have been awarded to college-bound seniors, totaling more than $1.2 million.
