Welcome Back! Pint + Jigger Is Finally Open Again

Now in the Ala Moana Hotel, one of Honolulu’s OG gastropubs is back with cocktails, beer, food and soon, weekend brunch.

Two years, five months and 17 days after closing its original Mō‘ili‘ili location, Pint + Jigger is at long last back in business. Its new home is in the lobby of the Ala Moana Hotel in the former Yuzu restaurant space, with original signage and other familiar touches Pint fans have been craving plus a blown-out ceiling, tons more seating and two stories of whiskey shelves—that’s over 180 bottles, if you were wondering.

Still to come: weekend brunch, which is slated to start this Sunday, Sept. 11; and the reopening of Harry’s Hardware Emporium, the Prohibition-themed cocktail speakeasy that was next door to old Pint. That date is still to be determined. But after long pandemic-induced delays, the cocktail-focused gastropub with solid beer and food menus held a blessing this past Tuesday and is now open daily.

“I am so appreciative of everyone who has asked, ‘When?’” veteran mixologist Dave Newman wrote on his Instagram. Newman, Hideo Simon and Grant Yamato are partners in the new Pint. “If it wasn’t for you, I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. Opening a bar in Hawai‘i is difficult in the best of times, during a pandemic might just be stupid, but there is nothing I’d rather be doing and nowhere I’d rather be doing it.”

Here’s what else you’ll find at Pint 2.0:

  • 21 beers on tap
  • All original cocktails are back, including the Mesquite Smoked Manhattan, Talventi, and Drawn and Quartered
  • Fried pickles and bone marrow are better than we remember
  • Lots of OG employees

Future plans call for retail sales of special-edition whiskeys and prepackaged cocktails in the space next door, but these are a ways off. For now, you’ll need a reservation to get in. Reserve online here.
