t. Andrew’s Schools is the home of Hawai‘i’s oldest all-girls school (The Priory) and first all-boys elementary school (The Prep), which share a campus in downtown Honolulu. Queen Emma Preschool, located off the Pali Highway, sets the foundation for learning success for our keiki in a co-ed setting.

Personalization That Makes A Difference

Founded by Queen Emma Kaleleonālani in 1867, our school deeply values our Hawaiian and Episcopal heritage, purposefully cultivating the mind-body-spirit connection. We have spent years personalizing our educational program, creating a nurturing environment in which students uncover the gifts and talents that will make a difference in the lives of others.

We know that as children increase their understanding of their connection to others, they are ultimately inspired to make positive contributions to the world throughout their lives. Starting in preschool, a St. Andrew’s education fosters each child’s innate curiosity and unique sense of wonder. As our students grow through the Lower School years, they understand and appreciate that they are known, understood, and challenged to be their personal best.

Rigorous, Real World Learning

When they reach the Upper School, our students’ strong sense of self gives them the confidence to take on the many leadership roles available to them both inside and outside the classroom. They learn by taking action, through an educational framework that challenges them to investigate the world, recognize multiple perspectives, and communicate their ideas. Rigorous classroom learning is balanced with real world experiences through internships and educational travel opportunities.

Ready for the Future

At St. Andrew’s Schools, the inevitable outcome is that our graduates are future-ready. As confident learners, creative thinkers, and compassionate leaders, nā pua o ‘Emalani (the children of Queen Emma) are inspired to take purposeful action to make our world a better place.
