Filipino Food Week Is Happening Now at 30 Restaurants
Specials like palabok ravioli and plenty of halo halo are at 25 eateries on O‘ahu, 3 on Maui and 2 in American Samoa until Oct. 25.
Pampanga, the region that gave us dishes like tocino and sisig, is the spotlight of Filipino Food Week 2025, producing a rich array of limited-time specials through Oct. 25. Twenty-five O‘ahu restaurants are in the mix, a doubling from last year—an enormous achievement and a promising harbinger for a long-overlooked local cuisine.
Reflecting a simmering trend, new Filipino eateries are in the lineup, including the pop-up ILaya, Filipino-themed coffee cart Panday and Yumyum Tumtum, which opened in Kāne‘ohe two weeks ago. They join traditional Filipino restaurants and a broad range of other eateries challenged to create eclectic specials.
So you’ll find sisig terrine at Pai Honolulu. Palabok ravioli at Skull & Crown Trading Co. Pork adobo pizza at Pizza Press. Duck adobo at MW Restaurant. And a number of Filipino-themed prix fixe menus, even. Plus a banana jackfruit lumpia danish at Beyond Pastry, a tocino fried rice omelet with lechon at Elena’s Filipino Restaurant, pancit Canton at Mama’s Boy and at least eight versions of halo halo, by our count.
These are all on O‘ahu. Maui joins in with three participating restaurants, and two are in American Samoa. Filipino Food Week runs until Oct. 25, 2025.
Finally, the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu, which is organizing the event, will hold a drawing for two roundtrip tickets from Honolulu to Manila. Entries qualify if you spend $20 or more on a Filipino Food Week special at three or more restaurants and upload a photo on Instagram or Facebook.
