Win tickets to Hawaii Food & Wine’s Urban Luau

Want to come to a luau? A crazy mashup luau that pairs favorite Hawaiian comfort foods with elegant, contemporary spins created by some of the hottest chefs Hawaii’s produced?
The sixth Hawaii Food and Wine Festival arrives on Oahu next Wednesday, Oct. 26 with Urban Luau, a pau hana grazing event in Kakaako’s new Salt complex. Urban Luau takes dishes from our favorite Hawaiian food restaurants and challenges high-end chefs to take them to the next level.
Who’s cooking? Luminaries from the local scene like Peter Merriman and Mark “Gooch” Noguchi. Plus the two hottest chefs introducing upscale versions of local food to Mainland eaters: Ravi Kapur of San Francisco’s Liholiho Yacht Club and Chung Chow of Noreetuh in New York City. Both are Oahu locals. Kapur is a James Beard nominee; Chow rose to sous chef at New York’s three-Michelin-starred Per Se.
Tickets for next Wednesday’s Urban Luau are $95, available online here, and we’re also giving away a pair! You have until 4 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 21, to enter. Just fill out the form below to subscribe to Frolic Hawaii’s and Hawaii Food & Wine Festival’s newsletters. Even if you’ve already subscribed, you can still enter to win. We’ll randomly select a winner and notify him or her by email. The event is 5 to 7 p.m. next Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Salt at Our Kakaako on Auahi Street between Coral and Keawe.
