Uniqlo’s New Pow! Wow! Hawai‘i Collection Is Available Exclusively in the Islands

The fresh release kicks off the opening of the Ala Moana Center Uniqlo store’s new bottom level and mezzanine.

As if its recent Alexander Wang collab and island-perfect linen separates weren’t enough to fuel our Uniqlo obsession this season, the Japanese retailer just leveled up our addiction with its latest drop.

Launched Jan. 18 to kick off the opening of the Ala Moana Center store’s second half (an expansive 11,700-square-foot lower level and mezzanine), the bright and cheery Feel Hawai‘i UT T-shirt collection features 14 limited-edition adult and kid tees designed by Pow! Wow! Hawai‘i artists Matthew Tapia and Kevin Lyons, available exclusively here in the Islands.

Local boy Tapia (you’ve seen his work at The Surfjack, The Public Pet and on a few of our favorite HONOLULU Magazine covers) shows off his hand-lettering skills with playful phrases including “Giving Aloha,” “Sun in My Face and Sand In My Hair” and “Today is A Good Day for a Good Day!” set against tropical ombré hues. And you can’t help but grin at Brooklyn-based Lyons’ adorable “aloha monsters” (already stars from his popular Pohukaina Street mural in Kaka‘ako), smiling rainbows and fuzzy bubble letters.
