50th State Fair

There’s fun for everyone at this year’s 50th State Fair. Catch your favorite rides, show off your gaming skills, enjoy a plate lunch or funnel cake, or take in all of the entertainment and special attractions throughout the 50th State Fair at Aloha Stadium.
Eat The Street: Pearl City

2 p.m.
The roving Eat the Street food truck fest makes its first stop in Pearl City this Saturday. Kick off the end of the school year with this summer-themed event featuring over 40 food vendors, fun games, entertainment and more!
Kaka‘ako Nite Run and Family Fair
Saturday, May 23
5 p.m.
The Kaka’ako Nite Run and Family Fair is a 5K fun run/walk for ages 10 and up with bounce houses, a photo booth, live music, drinks, snacks and giveaways. Prizes will be awarded for a variety of costume categories, so participants are encouraged to dress up in lights, neon paint, glowsticks and more.

Comedy writer and performer Ian Edwards performs two shows this Sunday at eleven44. He’s been making people laugh professionally since he was 21. Edwards has appeared on “Def Comedy Jam” (twice), “Bad Boys of Comedy,” “Family Guy” and “Show Time at the Apollo.”
Lantern Floating Hawaii Ceremony

6:30 p.m.
The annual Japanese ceremony honoring loved ones who have passed takes place on Memorial Day at sunset, from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. at Magic Island at Ala Moana Beach Park. Shinnyo-en Hawaii will be accepting written remembrances until May 20, and online messages through May 24.
