The lineup: Hawaii Food & Wine Festival

This year’s Hawaii Food & Wine Festival lineup was announced Tuesday morning at a press conference at the Hawaii State Capitol, with several participating chefs and sponsors in attendance. The weeklong event, scheduled for Aug. 29 to Sept. 7, continues to draw elite culinary talent from around the islands and country.
Notable visiting chefs attending this year are:
Jenn Louis: Lincoln Restaurant (Portland), “Top Chef Masters.” One of two chefs from Portland as HFWF branches into the Northwest.
Andy Ricker: PokPok (Portland), James Beard Award winner. One of two chefs from Portland as HFWF branches into the Northwest.
Nancy Oakes: Boulevard (San Francisco), Current James Beard Award nominee.
Floyd Cardoz: Formerly of North End Grill in Boston.
Johnny Iuzzini: Sugar Fuled Inc (NYC), “Top Chef” desserts judge
Michael Voltaggio: ink (Los Angeles), “Top Chef” winner
Michelle Bernstein: Michy’s (Miami), James Beard Award winner
Also changing is the previous “Girls Got Game” brunch event to “Battle of the Sexes,” where three female master chefs get paired with three of their male counterparts to cook up brunch. And the event at Hawaii Convention Center event has been changed from a Farm to Table-themed event to a grand wine tasting event featuring 20 wine makers.
