Scott Caan live interview April 30

Fans of “Hawaii Five-0” know its standout star Scott Caan as Det. Danny “Danno” Williams, a wise-cracking family man who’s a font of pop culture references and snarky one-liners.
Caan is not only an accomplished actor, but also a supporter of Openfilm, an ambitious online initiative to discover, distribute, and promote independent films and filmmakers. (And his father, James Caan, is Openfilm’s chairman.) Given his family’s ties to Hollywood and the creative arts, Scott Caan has as much to say about things behind the scenes as he says on camera.
At 11 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time (2 p.m. PDT) next Saturday, April 30, Caan will be the featured guest on Openfilm Live, an interview series featuring both celebrities and industry experts. Fans are already submitting questions, and voting up their favorites.
The interview will be streamed live online, but will be conducted in front of a live audience at the Los Angeles Film School. The interviewer will be YouTube sensation Michael Buckley, of “What The Buck?”
It should be an interesting conversation. Past guests included luminaries like Mark Rydell (also an Openfilm advisor) and Toby Turner (a.k.a. “Tobuscus” on YouTube). Given Openfilm’s fondness for independent media makers on YouTube, can a project with Hawaii’s own Ryan Higa be in the making?
