The 6th Annual Hallowbaloo Music + Arts Festival kicks off Friday with a special “Electric Soul” concert by John Cruz. On Saturday, Hallowbaloo moves to Chinatown for a huge, free street festival and club crawl. On Sunday, the festival wraps with a free Hallowbaloo kanikapila acoustic jam on the grass adjacent to the Waikiki Bandstand.

The Electric Soul concert features Grammy Award-winning musician John Cruz, backed by an electric all-star band including Hutch Hutchinson, Ricky Fataar and local virtuoso Imua Garza. Additional performances by Erika Elona and Delayed Resistance.

Saturday, Oct. 26: Hallowbaloo Street Festival & Club Hallowbaloo
5:30-10 p.m. — Free street festival along Nu‘uanu Avenue (between King Street and Chaplain Lane) with 15,000 costumed crazies, four outdoor stages of entertainment featuring 30+ artists, food booths and a costume contest with $1,000+ cash prizes and more.

Performances by iconic Australian singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd (eight guitars, six drums, three didgeridoos and one musician packed with soul); legendary New Orleans piano player/producer/songwriter Allen Toussaint; Hawaiian troubadour John Cruz; ukulele star Taimane Gardner, Black Square, Kings of Spade, Cherry Blossom Cabaret, Sing the Body, Linus, DJ Mr. Nick, Tavana, DJ Packo, Shatki Dance Movement, Jami, Pamela Poles, Discord & Rye, Seven Pairs of Iron Shoes, Koga, Oahu Fringe Fest Artists, Majique Noir, Gee Yung Int’l Martial Arts Dragon & Lion Dance Sports Association and DJ TripleBypass.

10 p.m.-2 a.m. — Club Hallowbaloo
Eight clubs, with one cover. Buy a Club Hallowbaloo wristband and enjoy entertainment at NextDoor, Bar 35, thirtyninehotel, Ong King Art Center, Downbeat Lounge, Manifest, The ARTS at Marks Garage and Mercury Bar. Performances by DJ Quantic, Giinko Marischino, DJ Mr. Nick (all performing together at The ARTS at Marks Garage); The Hell Caminos and many other bands and DJs at the eight participating clubs. More artists to be announced.
