Pow Wow Calendar of Events

Pow Wow, a week-long celebration of contemporary art, gets underway this week in Honolulu with mural painting, a panel discussion, the opening of the Pow Wow and other exhibits, an after-party and luau. Headed up by Jasper Wong, the huge, collaborative art event allows spectators to see the process of creating art and interact with artists.

Artists and media guests arrive in Hawaii.
FEBRUARY 14 to 17
Painting murals in the neighborhood of Kaka’ako (click here for mural locations)

Youth mural painting lessons and tours in Kaka’ako.
FEBRUARY 15 – 1pm to 8pm
Holoholo Honolulu sponsored by Na Mea books.
FEBRUARY 16 – 6pm to 8pm
Panel discussion at the University of Hawaii’s Manoa Campus’ Art Building Auditorium. Featuring guest speakers: Eugene Kan of Hypebeast, Jeff Hamada of Booooooom, Frank Liew of Qubic and Carbon, Ken Harman of Hi-Fructose and Spoke Art, and Suitman.
FEBRUARY 18 – 6pm to 10pm
