Pics: Honolulu Startup Weekend 2012

Presented by Social Wahines and The Greenhouse Innovation Hub, the second annual Honolulu Startup Weekend brought entrepreneurs, developers and designers together for an intense, 54-hour startup-building competition from Friday, April 27 through Sunday, April 29 at The Green House in Kaka’ako.

The weekend culminated in an awards ceremony at the warehouse next door on Sunday evening, with each team giving their final presentation and then awaiting the judges’ decisions. Congratulations to this year’s winners:

1st Place: Who Will See Me, a web-based application built by a team from HMSA to connect patients with doctors.

2nd Place: Tealet, a social network for connecting tea growers with discriminating customers in the United States.

3rd Place: Laughpop, a site that aggregates and markets humor, and allows its users to connect with other people whose senses of humor are similar.
