No Bartender? Order Your Favorite Cocktails (and Thai Food) for Takeout
(Sponsored) Maile’s Thai at Ward’s expansive menu, which includes specialty drinks and bottles of wine, can be ordered online for pickup.
After an uncommonly good, or particularly stressful, day, sometimes all you want is a nice refreshing cocktail. But what do you do when the bars are still closed, your personal mixologist is out of town and you have none of the ingredients for that mojito you so desperately crave?

The answer: Order up your favorite drinks (plus some killer Thai food) to-go from Maile’s Thai at Ward. The restaurant’s takeout drink menu is impressive, offering ready-to-enjoy cocktails, sangria, wines by the bottle and even kits for making your own mimosas and bellinis.
The menu at Maile’s is quite expansive and not strictly limited to traditional Thai cuisine. For example, sprinkled among the typically found chicken satay, summer rolls and nam khao (Lao crispy rice salad) apps are dishes such as: Lao poke, seasoned with fish sauce, toasted rice and a wedge of lime; fresh Manila clams sautéed with bacon, garlic, butter and basil and served with a side of baguette; and deep-fried pork jerky, seasoned and marinated with Thai spices and serve with a shoyu-vinegar sauce (as a lover of any and all types of jerky, I regret that I’ve not yet had the chance to try this).
Maile’s Thai at Ward is currently open for dine-in, along with takeout for pickup (which can be placed online here) and delivery via Uber Eats and DoorDash. Keep in mind, however, that the two delivery options only offer a limited menu and no booze, so if you’re looking to get tipsy and/or enjoy that previously mentioned pork jerky, do yourself a solid and put in the extra drive time for the full Maile’s Thai at Ward experience.
