Look what I snagged: Black Friday goods

Thanksgiving is a day where many pause to give thanks. Although I’m thankful about my blessings, after that big turkey dinner, my Thanksgiving is typically spent prepping for Black Friday shopping.

If you watched my featured episode on Cat Chat, I surely put those Black Friday tips to work this year. But my tips were tested, because the shopping madness began early. My night started at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving night in Waikele. Stores like Vans, Guess and Juicy Couture were already open. The lines at the outlet were just crazy, both to get into the store and to pay. After a quick nap and caffeine run, I made my way to town. With all of the new stores such as Express and Metropark, Ala Moana was busier than ever.

I managed to cross people off of my Christmas list with a few Black Friday deals. However, overall I would say that there were a lot of great deals, but the merchandise wasn’t so great. As an avid shopper, I hate waiting in lines, especially to pay. Even though I had the buddy system down, waiting more than 30 minutes to pay is not worth it to me. So for stores such as Victoria’s Secret and Forever 21, please be better prepared next year.

To follow Black Friday, today is Cyber Monday! I hope to grab some deals online today. Did any of you go shopping on Black Friday? What did deals did you get? What are your pet peeves for shopping?

As we all shop for Christmas gifts (and maybe for ourselves), I bid you happy shopping.

Check out the things I picked up and how much I saved:

The ladies at Coach the day before Thanksgiving put their prospective items on hold. I did the same.
