By now, you’ve probably heard about the lobster roll, short rib arancini and amazing cocktails at et al., the new all-day eatery that opened alongside Kahala MKT. by Foodland in mid-November. But have you been there for breakfast?

Insider tip: The hours before 11 a.m. are some of the best times to go to et al! The restaurant has some of the best coffee in town and opens at 6 a.m. daily. If you’re an early riser, et al. is a great place to sit and enjoy a coffee or to have a breakfast meeting, but you can also get coffee to-go.

All the coffee at et al. — espresso, nitro cold brew and drip — is from Kona Coffee Purveyors, one of our favorite local roasters that focuses on roasting the best single-estate high-elevation coffees out of Kona each harvest season. The drip coffee is made with an exclusive Kona Coffee Purveyors blend that you can you only find at et al.

Breakfast comes in all shapes and sizes at et al., and it’s all good. Whether you want a quick pastry before you start your work day, want a heartier breakfast or need a delicious bite to go, the morning bun is a must have.

One of our favorite things about breakfast at et al. is the amazing selection of small plates. Choose from Mexican street avo toast with cotija cheese and chile lime crema, HI Steaks savory fried rice and the breakfast banh mi with roasted pork belly, pickled vegetables and curry aioli. Pair these with the chia seed parfait and a cold pressed juice and you’re all set!

If you really want to start your day off right, et al. offers mimosa flights with three different flavors: Orange, pineapple and pressed coconut water.
