Support local

Eat and drink at local businesses.

Pack a water bottle and find fill stations rather than buying single-use plastic bottles.

Support local musicians by going to a show

Blue Note Hawai‘i’s recent performers include Kimié Miner, Paula Fuga and Henry Kapono. Hawaiian entertainment nightly at Kani Ka Pila Grille has included Kawika Kahiapo, Sean Na‘auao and Ho‘okena.  And remember to tip the talent at venues throughout the islands.

Look for opportunities to give back

Outrigger Hotels and Resorts and Kualoa Ranch have partnered on the Mālama Hawaiʻi Experience, where hotel guests volunteer in a loʻi and stream projects at the ranch while learning about native plants, history and conservation. Other businesses have their own programs.
