HONOLULU Fashion Week: Kini and Dinko & Best of Neiman Marcus

By Crystal Pancipanci
It was a big night for fashion in Honolulu, with two highly anticipated runway shows taking place Friday evening at the Hawaii Convention Center, as part of HONOLULU Fashion Week. Early in the evening, Art of Fashion: The Best of Neiman Marcus, showcased the latest collections from top men’s and women’s designers. Here’s a look at that show:
After, “Project Runway” fans, fashion insiders, media and fashionistas gathered for the Kini and Dinko show. Hawaii’s Kini Zamora — a contestant on this past season of “Project Runway” — and his partner Dean “Dinko” Satta unveiled their very first collection, featuring Spring/Summer 2015 styles.
For Kini and Dinko everything is “BLACK + WHITE.” The designers were inspired by their visits to New York City and its architecture. The collection was on trend, featuring black and white combos of ready-to-wear looks for both men and women. Modern dresses were creatively cut and draped into interesting silhouettes. Closing the show were wearable gowns that left the crowd applauding.
The designing duo took a well deserved sprint down the runway as they made Hawaii proud.
