Feel good eating: Localicious starts March 1
Localicious Hawaii, the monthlong campaign to raise funds for agricultural education kits for fourth-graders, is back and kicks off today, March 1, with 148 participating restaurants on five islands.
You can support this Hawaii Agricultural Foundation effort by eating out and ordering a restaurant’s designated Localicious dish, made with locally grown or raised products and identified on menus with a Localicious sticker or logo. For every dish ordered, restaurants will donate $1 to the foundation’s Veggie U educational program, which will supply classroom garden kits and a five-week science program to 50 fourth-grade classrooms at local public schools.
The goal is to raise $50,000. Restaurants that raise $500 or more are eligible to adopt a classroom of their choice.

Beginning March 1 and on Tuesdays all month long, we’ll be giving away 10 $100 gift cards from participating Localicious restaurants.
