Eat, shop, party & repeat

My weekend was filled with fun. There were so many things going on, and I just had to be part of it all.

It started off with Eat The Street Kakaako. If you weren’t there, you missed out on some really good grub. This was the second Eat The Street, but this time, 26 vendors participated. My friends Drew and Jason and I had a strategy before we started eating. We figured if we stuck together, we could taste more things. So if there was was a truck we really wanted to try, one person would stay in line, while the others grabbed food from other vendors. Another strategy was that once we got our food, we went to stand in another line while eating the food we just got!

In two hours, we managed to get lumpias, pasteles, frozen horchata, frozen hot chocolate, chocolate panini, tacos, OnoPops and the chimney cake. I think I gained an extra hip roll from all the food, but it was the sweetest sin, literally.

Another thing I did this weekend was stop by my friend’s shop, Fashionista’s Market. She launched a new rewards program and also received a new shipment, so of course I had to go and grab new clothes for spring. There were free makeovers, clothes on sale and more food to indulge in — Thai goodness and cupcakes.

Last, but not least, was my girlfriend’s birthday party. Who said we’re too old for themed parties? Tia threw a a ’50s pin-up-girl party at The Waikiki Edition. So it was bobby pins and red lips all night. I love the place, but it can hurt your wallet. Thank goodness our bartender kept us happy and full. Happy Birthday again Tia!

Check out the weekend’s madness:
