Whoa, what a Night Market! Saturday’s monthly Kaka‘ako streetfest kicked off at 6 p.m. with the Red Bull X-Fighters Motocross team here for the latest stop on their global schedule. Keith Sayers, Wes Agee and three-time X-Games gold medalist Ronnie Renner put on an amazing freestyle demo along Auahi Street, soaring and flipping high above the asphalt. The crowd gasped, they cheered, they lit up Instagram with pic after pic framed against a gorgeous blue sky.

The bikes revved appetites, because the crowd that hit the block party’s restaurants, food trucks and booths was hungry. They scarfed everything from lau lau to nachos, mac and cheese to okonomiyaki. And you know it was ono.
