2014 Warrior Dash Hawaii

On Feb. 22, Warrior Dash Hawaii participants competed in an obstacle race at the Dillingham Ranch in Waialua, Hawaii. They overcame obstacles, such as climbing over a rock climbing wall, slogging through mud and crawling under barbed wire fencing. Event finishers enjoyed a free beer after the race.

2014 Punahou Carnival

On Feb. 7 and 8, visitors attended the Punahou School's Carnival "New York, New York The Carnival That Never Sleeps!" The two-day event raised money for the school's financial aid program.

NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii

NFL all-star football players competed in the Pro Bowl game on Jan. 26. The Pro Bowl game kicked off the week leading up to the Super Bowl. NFL greats included Jerry Rice, Deion Sanders, Drew Brees, Nick Foles, Andrew Luck, Cam Newton, Jamaal Charles, LeSean McCoy, Matt Forte, Jimmy Graham, Josh Gordon, Alfred Morris and Desean Jackson.

NFL Yet Hawaii Legacy Aha Aina Luncheon

On Jan. 24, the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii NFL Youth Education Town Center - Nanakuli Clubhouse hosted a luncheon fundraiser for at-risk youth. NFL Pro Bowl cheerleaders, mascots and Chicago Bears football player Matt Forte attended the event at the Paradise Cove Ocean Garden in Ko Olina.

Ramen Burger Debut at Taste

The original Ramen Burger made its Honolulu debut at Taste Table on Wednesday, Jan. 15. People waited in line for hours to get taste of a hamburger patty in between grilled ramen noodles. Ramen Burger creator Keizo Shimamoto prepped 700 Ramen Burgers for the debut event.

Sony Open Final Day

The Sony Open in Hawai‘i attracted more than 140 golf professionals to the Wai‘alae Country Club from Jan. 6-12, 2014. On Jan. 12, Jimmy Walker won the PGA Tour.

Sony Open Pro-Am and Pro-Junior

The largest charity event in Hawai‘i, the Sony Open attracted more than 150 golf professionals to the Wai‘alae Country Club. On Jan. 7, young golfers played in the Acura Hawai‘i Pro-Junior Skills Challenge. On Jan. 8, professional golfers competed in the All Day Sony Open in Hawai‘i Official Pro-Am.
