2017 Waikīkī Spam Jam

This year’s Waikīkī Spam Jam took place on Saturday, April 29. The annual street festival celebrates Hawai‘i’s love for Spam and features food from some of the Island’s top restaurants, two stages with free entertainment and goods from a variety of Hawaiian retailers.

HONOLULU Magazine’s 2016 Hale ‘Aina Awards

HONOLULU Magazine revealed the winners of this year’s 32nd Hale ‘Aina Awards on Sunday, Sept. 27 at The Royal Hawaiian. Guests dined on dishes from 13 award-winning restaurants, sipped on signature cocktails and listened to live entertainment.

An Evening Reception with Alaska Airlines 2015

Community partners in Hawai‘i were invited to an evening reception with the Alaska Airlines senior leadership team. Guests were treated to heavy pūpū’s, Washington wines and a performance by Henry Kapono. The exclusive event was held at the Moana Surfrider on Monday, Sept. 21.

Top Doctors Celebration 2015

Hawai‘i doctors listed in the 2015 Top Doctors were invited to a special event at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel on Sept. 10 to celebrate their honor.

Rice Fest 2015

The 6th annual Rice Fest featured more than 20 vendors creating rice-inspired dishes. The festival included entertainment and a Poke bowl and Spam musubi eating contest. The event was held at Ward Village on Saturday, Sept. 5.

2015 Great Waikīkī Beer Festival

Beer lovers and drinkers celebrated 100 beers at the Great Waikīkī Beer Festival on Friday, Aug. 28 to Aug. 30 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The three-day event included performances by Anuhea, Backwards Shaka and Kailua Bay Buddies.

Sky Waikīkī VIP Event

SKY Waikīkī kicked off an invitation-only VIP event on Aug. 28. Caitlyn Jenner’s son, Brody Jenner, was a celebrity guest DJ for the event. Other celebrity appearances included actress Victoria Justice, former NFL player Terrell Owens, actress Kelly Monaco and dancer Cheryl Burke.

2015 Made in Hawai‘i Festival

The 21st annual Made in Hawai‘i Festival showcased locally-made products, including books, art, gifts, fashions and crafts. The three-day event featured cooking demonstrations and live entertainment at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall and Arena on Aug. 21–23.

Pacific Ink & Art Expo 2015

Tattoo artists from around the world traveled to Hawai‘i for the Pacific Ink & Art Expo. The three-day event was held at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center on Aug. 7–9.

The Joy of Sake Honolulu 2015

The world’s largest sake celebration came to Honolulu on Friday, July 31. The Joy of Sake had more than 300 sakes to taste and top local chefs served sake-inspired pupus.

2015 Tinman Triathlon Hawai‘i

Triathletes competed in the 2015 Tinman Triathlon on Sunday, July 26. The triathlon included a swim course at Queens Beach, 40K bike course and a 10K run.
