Opa! The 34th annual Greek Festival celebrated Greek foods, music and culture at the McCoy Pavilion Ala Moana Beach Park.
Beer lovers and drinkers celebrated 100 beers at the Great Waikīkī Beer Festival on Friday, Aug. 28 to Aug. 30 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The three-day event included performances by Anuhea, Backwards Shaka and Kailua Bay Buddies.
SKY Waikīkī kicked off an invitation-only VIP event on Aug. 28. Caitlyn Jenner’s son, Brody Jenner, was a celebrity guest DJ for the event. Other celebrity appearances included actress Victoria Justice, former NFL player Terrell Owens, actress Kelly Monaco and dancer Cheryl Burke.
More than 50 journalists and public relations professionals performed sketches making fun of recent Hawai‘i news events at Gridiron’s “On Time and On Budget” at the Diamond Head Theatre. All proceeds from the event fund paid journalism internships at a variety of media outlets across the state.
