The Scream Team is back this Halloween season with two haunted attractions — Dr. Carnage’s House of Horrors at Windward Mall theater and General Savage’s Zombie Uprising, which opens this weekend at Kapolei’s Hawaii Extreme Paintball field.

General Savage’s Zombie Uprising — located at 96-1041 Midway St. — features “The Zombie Killing Field,” where visitors have the opportunity to shoot paintballs at General Savage’s army of zombies. “I think people are going to enjoy getting their Walking Dead on by shooting General Savage’s army of zombies,” organizer Doug Farrar says.

Farrar said the Scream Team created the two attractions knowing zombies are big right now on TV and in movies. “At Windward Mall, our haunted house is a full-on assault of your senses; out here in Kapolei, we’re using the natural darkness and backdrop of the paintball field to bring out the scares and screams,” he says.

If you missed it, be sure to read Amanda Stevens’s story about Dr. Carnage’s House of Horrors. Located right next to a graveyard, the attraction is littered with blood, body parts and animal carcasses.

Catch both attractions Oct. 17, 18, 24, 25, 30, 31 and Nov. 1. Hours are 7:30-10:30 p.m. On Nov. 1, both sites will be blacked out and guests will only navigate with the light of one glow stick.
