Opened New Year’s Eve in Chinatown by punk scene veterans Josh 86 and Serena Hashimoto, Downbeat made a splash with its quirky, unique DIY punk personality, a classic rock/ska/punk playlist, beer tastings, movie nights and a hearty menu that includes burgers, sandwiches and more unusual offerings like apple fritters and gravy fries.
