Basalt Kicks Off April With Adorable Easter Pancakes and New Dishes

(Sponsored) Join the Waikīkī restaurant on Sunday, April 4, and you may even be blessed with a special appearance by the Easter Bunny.

Can you believe it’s almost April? Easter falls on April 4 this year, and ABC Store-owned Basalt in Waikīkī’s Dukes Lane Market & Eatery wants to celebrate with your family in a fun and super cute way.

Basalt has never been afraid to change it up, whether it’s by adding new dishes to the menu or jazzing up old favorites with seasonal flair. For the latter, I think it’s hit it out of the park with its exclusive brunch dish, made just for the upcoming Easter Sunday. The restaurant’s iconic charcoal buttermilk pancakes—one of its most popular breakfast items—are given a colorful, sugary spring makeover with Peeps marshmallows, Easter egg candy, Girl Scout s’mores cookies, coconut grass, sprinkles and an edible plumeria made of sugar. Basalt’s Easter S’mores Charcoal Pancakes are available on Easter Sunday, April 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. only, so don’t wait to make your reservations. Plus, if you’re there between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., you’ll be able to catch the Easter Bunny, who’s making a special appearance to wish patrons a Happy Easter!

Here’s another reason to head down to the Dukes Lane Market & Eatery restaurant: Last week Monday, March 15, Basalt debuted some new dishes to its menu lineup. Two of the most noteworthy additions just happen to be seafood themed: crab salad ($18), featuring fresh jumbo lump crab and elevated with not-your-average greens such as Big Island heart of palm and Romanesco, drizzled with an herbed avocado dressing; and the mixed seafood grill ($47), an epic ocean experience starring lobster tail, Hokkaido scallops, jumbo shrimp and the fresh catch of the day, laid upon a bed of andouille rice. Both are available for dinner.
