Amuse Wine Bar Offers Pours of Vino and a Great Food Menu
(Sponsored) Sample sips of wine to your heart’s content, paired with a killer menu of bites.
Now through January 2021, use your First Hawaiian Bank Mastercard at any 2020 Hale ‘Aina Gold-winning restaurants and you’ll receive double points on your purchase.
Located in the Honolulu Design Center, Amuse Wine Bar is the fun, casual little sister of next door’s sophisticated, contemporary sit-down restaurant, Stage. Typically a self-serve wine bar, the bar has updated its operations due to COVID-19 and now offers full service—just choose which wines you’d like to try and your waiter will bring your samples to the table. Of course, you can also order wines by the glass or bottle if you know what you’re in the mood for.

While Amuse isn’t a full-on restaurant, its food menu (crafted in Stage’s kitchen) still offers plenty of bites that will satisfy appetites of all sizes. If you’re feeling peckish, order up some truffle fries, the charcuterie and cheese plate or a plate of organic greens. Heftier dishes include Angus beef sliders, two types of pizza and the JBH grilled cheese, an Asian take on the classic sando with house-made kimchee, Havarti cheese, truffle essence and house-made French bread—my go-to whenever I’m there.
In addition to an impressive wine and spirits menu, Amuse also offers a variety of beers and cocktails to help quench your thirst. Happy hour takes place from 5 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday through Saturday, with select wines by the glass plus rotating beer and cocktail specials. Now through December, make a reservation to try its holiday tasting menu, a three-course, holiday-inspired menu crafted by executive chef Ron de Guzman, sous chef Joy Yamane and pastry chef Cainan Sabey.
Reservations are required and limited to five people. For more information on Amuse Wine Bar, or to make a reservation, visit stagerestauranthawaii.com. For updates, follow @amusewinebar on Instagram.
