Yauatcha Waikiki’s Fai Menu — fai means “quick” in Cantonese — gives busy professionals a multicourse sampling of the Michelin-starred restaurant collection’s best-sellers for $22. Add in Yauatcha’s upscale ambience and easy, free validated parking for the first hour, and lunch is a done deal.
The Fai Menu features the restaurant’s most popular steamed and baked/fried items, along with local greens and macarons by pastry chef Vivian Wu. This special menu is available every day from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

The baked course features two of Yauatcha’s most buzzed-about signature dim sums. The venison puff is loaded with savory meat and baked to a delectable golden brown. And the highly Instagrammable duck pumpkin puff isn’t just a pretty face — the delicate crispy exterior hides a generous portion of succulent duck.

The steamed options provide a taste of land and sea. Har Gau features succulent shrimp, the shu mai sports an ideal balance of pork and prawn, and the gorgeously wrapped Chinese chive flower dumpling is crunchy and refreshing.

The Fai lunch ends on a sweet note with a pair of chef’s choice macarons. Flavors change daily, and the macarons are available for dine-in or takeout.
