Your Next To-Go Meal Starts with a Cocktail and Ends with Hula Pie

With Hawai‘i’s second lockdown in place, many of us have gotten very familiar with our nearby restaurants. Maybe even too familiar. If your taste buds are growing tired of the same go-to orders, perhaps it’s time to venture a little ways out of that half-mile radius and into a neighborhood often forgotten by us locals.
Currently closed for dine-in, Duke’s Waikīkī on Kalākaua Avenue is still continuing takeout service, with an impressively full to-go menu—which includes a lineup of signature cocktails (Duke’s Mai Tai, anyone?), draft beer, wine, and other alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages—that will put a vacation vibe in your kitchen. With everything from poke tacos to burgers to slices of that famous Hula Pie (and even a few eats for the keiki), there’s pretty much a dish for everyone to dig into.
Along with the its typical takeout options the restaurant has also started serving daily specials Monday through Friday, as well as a limited number of breakfast bentos on the weekends. Follow @dukeswaikiki on Instagram or Facebook to stay up-to-date on its rotating daily offerings. (Heads-up, Thursdays are prime rib. Place your order now!)
