• Made In Hawaii Festival
HONOLULU Magazine in partnership with the Department of Agriculture's "Buy Fresh, Buy Local" program and a number of Hale Aina Award-winning chefs and restaurants presented a series of cooking demonstrations at the event.
Nine of Hawaii's best chefs came together to show attendees how and in what kinds of dishes they could use locally grown produce and specialty products. Get the featured recipes from the event here.
• Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF)
HONOLULU has been a long time supporter of HIFF, and was a sponsor of the Fall Festival's Best Short Film award from 2005-2008. HIFF is an organization providing Hawaii with the best selection of current international, artistic and independent films, with a mission of promoting a cultural understanding of the East and West through the art of cinema. This year's Fall Festival takes place October 15 - 25, 2009. For more information about HIFF, visit www.hiff.org.
