Cards are great. Flowers are appreciated. But we know many moms—who usually pick up the cooking/dishes duties— and their families appreciate a special meal out on Mother’s Day. Here are what 19 restaurants are planning to serve on her big day. Mother's Day is May 13.
BLT STEAK WAIKĪKĪ
Located in the Trump International Hotel Waikīkī, BLT Steak Waikīkī is serving buttermilk pancakes with guava whipped butter, short rib and chorizo hash with confit Maui onions, and wagyu beef loco moco.

BLT Market’s Mother’s Day buffet includes beet-cured Scottish smoked salmon, oysters on the half shell, eggs Benedict, barbeque brisket, and an omelet and waffle station. BLT Market’s mimosa bar is also available for an additional cost.

While known for its steaks, d.k Steak House is expanding its menu with dishes such as pan-seared day-boat scallops with foie gras sauce, Mother’s Day surf and turf, and a duck trio to top off the menu.

Nestled on the third floor of the revamped International Market Place, Herringbone Waikīkī is offering its signature brunch dishes along with handcrafted Mother’s Day specials. Feeling fancy? Take your Mom to Hōkū’s Mother’s Day Brunch at The Kāhala Resort. At the buffet, you’ll find king crab legs, roast duck, New Zealand lamb, liliko‘i panna cotta and matcha profiteroles with the buffet. As for the à la carte menu, treat yourself (and your mom) to an acai bowl, wok-fried crispy soft-shell crab or an ‘ahi poke musubi.

The new Buffet at Hyatt will serve fresh Island poke, sushi, steamed king crab legs, ‘alaea salt-crusted opah, rosemary-and-garlic slow-roasted prime rib, with a soft-serve ice cream station and other desserts. Add on a bottomless mimosa and bloody mary bar.

KAI MARKET AT THE SHERATON WAIKĪKĪ
The Mother’s Day Buffet Brunch includes soy-sake-braised short-ribs, Hawaiian-inspired seafood chowder and kim chee-marinated tako poke. Top it all off with delectable Thai coffee custard or Ted’s Bakery North Shore pies.

Hōkū’s isn’t The Kāhala’s only restaurant offering a special Mother’s Day brunch. The Plumeria Beach House is serving a scrumptious brunch buffet. The most eye-catching might be the dessert station, filled with more than a dozen different options, including matcha tiramisu, assorted truffle pops and calamansi cream tarts.

The Mother’s Day sparkling wine brunch on the North Shore includes demiyaki short ribs, smoked salmon eggs Benedict and kale-and-mushroom-stuffed roast pork loin. And let’s not forget about the desserts, including Waialua chocolate cheesecake, pineapple upside-down cake and coconut haupia cake.
