Family Sunday
Keiki get to celebrate what makes each of them unique at this month’s free event at the Honolulu Museum of Art. Exploring the theme “Me, Myself and I,” kids will practice self-expression through different media: dance, music and visual art. Hands-on stations include creating a percussion instrument, crafting a folk mirror and decorating a wearable name button. Kids and parents can bust-a-move during breakdancing workshops led by Keiki Breaks and then stay for the group’s high-energy performance. Just a reminder that since Spalding House is now closed, all activities will be held at Honolulu Museum of Art on Beretania Street. We took three kids to this popular monthly event! Read about their artsy adventures at “Our Guide: Family Sunday at Honolulu Museum of Art.”

Valentine’s Art at Keiki and Plow
If you are looking for a Valentine’s Day activity that doesn’t involve sugar, head out to Keiki and Plow for a nature craft during its regular open farm hours. Watch “love bloom” as your kids create heart-shaped seed paper, which can be planted at home or given to someone special. Make sure to show the animals some love, too, by feeding the chickens and brushing the goats. Then pick some greens and veggies to take home to arrange on top of a pizza or throw into a smoothie for a special Valentine’s dinner. Read our tips for making the most of your visit to the farm at “We Tried It: Keiki and Plow.”

- Entry is $10 per family. No additional charge for the craft. U-pick baskets for produce are available in various sizes ($10, $20 and $40); eggs are $10 per dozen.
