Updated event lineup for Nonstop Kaka‘ako

Nonstop Kaka‘ako, a one-night pop-up food, retail and entertainment experience, is happening this Saturday, Oct. 22 from 4 p.m. to midnight. The free event will take place in Kaka‘ako on Auahi Street between Coral and Keawe streets, which are being closed for the event.
Nonstop Kaka‘ako event highlights:
• Entertainment on two stages by Anuhea, Yoza, Kainalu and Lost at Sea
• Shop under the big tent at pop-up boutiques by Eden in Love, Fashionista’s
Market, The Butik, Pure Joy Adornments, Cassandra Rull, Stella & Dot, Genuine
Guava and more!
• Women’s Lounge including Beauty Bar, martini and sweets bar, DJ and scent bar
by Chai Studio
• 40 food booths from Best of Nonstop Honolulu nominees, food trucks from Eat
the Street and other innovative cuisine
• Beer garden
• Live UH football vs. New Mexico State
• C4 Waterman virtual standup paddle game
• Cigar bar by Lanai Tabura
• Interactive art space for adults and children by Pow Wow Hawaii’s Jasper Wong
• Socialize in the Auahi Street parklet
• Free parking at 555 Auahi Street, Pohukaina Street lot, HCDA Ilalo Street lot
“Nonstop Kaka‘ako is a one-night only opportunity for people to experience the Kaka‘ako of the future,” said Christian O’Connor, senior asset manager for Kamehameha Schools. “It will be a chance to explore new kinds of food, shop the best boutiques, listen
to great entertainment and connect with friends. It’s going to be a great evening, not to be missed.”
The event is hosted by Kamehameha Schools, which is redeveloping nine city blocks in Kaka‘ako mauka. Street Grindz and Say I Do by Karisa are planning the event. Event design is by Lauren Makk, formerly of TLC’s Trading Spaces. The event will also feature nominees from Nonstop Honolulu’s Best of Nonstop food competition — a compilation of some of Honolulu’s most popular food offerings.
