UH Manoa Senior Fashion Show
The 47th annual University of Hawaii Manoa Senior Fashion Show took place on Sunday at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. The theme, Zeitgeist, Spirit of the Times, aptly described the runway show. The show told a story by highlighting iconic influences of the past, capturing the eco-fashion culture and bold expression of today, and the dream and innovation of tomorrow.
The collections from senior designers were the highlight of the show. However, the junior collection showcased great promise and creativity. The show closed with an “illuminating surprise,” as the senior collection Modern Zen & Renewable Energy, lit up the runway as house-lights went down.
