Third Metric with Arianna Huffington and Pierre Omidyar
In conjunction with the launch of HuffPost Hawaii, a partnership between The Huffington Post and Honolulu Civil Beat, Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington and Civil Beat founder Pierre Omidyar appeared at the Sheraton Waikiki’s Maui Ballroom to host a panel discussion called “The Third Metric: Redefining Success Beyond Money and Power.”
After an introduction by Huffington and Omidyar, Huffington moderated a panel discussion with prominent members of Hawaii’s community discussing how Hawaii and the spirit of Aloha is exemplary of what Huffington called the Third Metric values: Well-being, wisdom, wonder and giving back. The panel included Aliya Bokhari from American Express, Hawaii Pacific University’s Deborah Crown, Makauila, Inc. director Amy Kalili, Kaiser Permanente Hawaii president Janet Liang, Hale Ola founder Dane Kaohelani Silva and educator Maya Soetoro-Ng.
