New Shanghai Circus

Jan.  14-16

Dragon dancers, contortionists and plate spinners will perform acrobatic feats during five performances at the Hawaii Theatre. The Chinese troupe has toured the globe and appeared on Broadway.

White Party

Jan. 15

Flash and Matty Boy, who run the swanky Apartment 3 in Century Center, are hosting their final White Party. The single-color-attire-themed shindig had become a tradition since it began in 2004.

Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and Rally

Jan. 17

Head over to Magic Island for this 23rd annual parade down Kalakaua Avenue. A post-parade rally will be held at Kapiolani Park featuring live music, food booths and local vendors. Last year, more than 1,000 marched in the parade.
