These Maui Restaurants Are Asking for Help for Their Workers
More than 40 Maui restaurants have set up GoFundMe campaigns for employees who lost homes. Three more need help to feed fire victims.

More than 1,000 crowdfunding campaigns have sprung up on GoFundMe since fire obliterated most of Lahaina last week. All the stories are heartbreaking—among them pleas from restaurants that were destroyed, restaurants whose employees’ homes were destroyed and West Maui restaurants that survived but are closed because of the shutdown of tourism on that part of the island. Of note are three other food businesses asking for donations to help them feed their displaced neighbors on Maui. If you can, please donate and help these Maui restaurants spread the word.
