Punahou Carnival

Every year, Punahou School holds a carnival to fundraise for its financial aid program. This year’s theme is “A Worldwide Ride,” and, along with live music, carnivalgoers can enjoy fresh-made malassadas, local produce, E.K. Fernandez rides and local grinds, plus the chance to score new artwork or secondhand goods at the event’s silent auction and White Elephant.

Grouplove
Feb. 6

Grouplove brings indie-pop vibes and infectious energy to Honolulu with new sounds from its third studio album. Released in September 2016, Big Mess was born from the messy, neglected personal lives that band members returned to following years of back-to-back recording and touring, as well as the unexpected pregnancy of singer/keyboardist Hannah Hooper.

Mana Wāhine

Okareka Dance Co., one of New Zealand’s most prolific dance companies, brings woman power to the stage in Mana Wāhine. Inspired by the true story of Te Ao-kapurangi, a notable female hero from New Zealand’s past, Mana Wāhine features an all-female crew of five in a contemporary fusion of dance, music and traditional Maori culture.

The Hawai‘i Cannabis Expo returns to the Blaisdell, continuing its goal to educate the public on the cannabis plant’s myriad health benefits, with information on growing, extracting and the Medical Use of Marijuana program. The expo will include hundreds of exhibitors pertaining to the medical marijuana industry.
