Considering it only opened in January, it’s not surprising that many people have never heard of, much less eaten at, Chopchop Rotisserie. The latest brainchild of restaurateurs Kevin Hanney and Denise Luke, the husband-wife duo behind 12th Ave Grill and Koko Head Café, Chopchop is a fast-casual concept focusing on spit-roasted meats offered as rotating daily specials:
Monday: Leg of lamb
Tuesday: Tacos
Wednesday: Smoked beef brisket
Thursday: Glazed whole duck
Friday: St. Louis-style baby back ribs
Sunday: Prime rib
And the prices? Surprisingly affordable: A plate, which includes rice or potatoes and a side salad, will run you between $11 and $15, making this a great budget option if you just don’t feel like cooking. Plus, any of the daily specials—along with braised short rib, whole chicken and miso pork—can be ordered as a family meal ($23.50 to $37.50) that comes with salad, rice or potatoes, and your choice of one hot and one cold side.

Slow-roasted short ribs with drippings potatoes and a side salad.
