Something new: Tapas at Bevy

Kaka‘ako may be in the throes of development, but that’s not stopping the businesses on Auahi Street. Several of the restaurants and shops, including Bevy, have started opening on Mondays. And as for Bevy, they’ve just launched a new tapas menu, developed by Swedish chef Petra Lindeson, who took the helm from Jamal Lahiani.

We got an early taste of these Spanish and Mediterranean-influenced appetizers. Here’s a look:

“For those who aren’t familiar, tapas are Spanish appetizers,” says new chef Petra Lindeson. Inspired by Spanish and Mediterranean cuisine, these little dishes have been catching on in town recently, with places like Eleven44 joining Salt and Hiroshi Eurasian Tapas to offer something different to Honolulu. Chef Petra’s unique culinary experiences add a different twist to these dishes; you’ll immediately notice the difference from Chef Jamal’s style.
