Smoke Out at Dave & Buster’s

On Saturday afternoon, cigar fans gathered at the Sunset Bar on the roof of Dave & Buster’s for another of Lanai Tabura’s “Smoke Out” parties. This time, they had gathered to commemorate Macanudo’s 50th anniversary. What better way to celebrate than with beer, fried foods, cigars and University of Hawaii football?

For the $45 dollar cover charge, attendees received three Macanudo cigars — a Hampton Court (light smoke), a Hampton Court Maduro (medium bodied) and a Macanudo Robusto (very heavy tobacco, not for the faint hearted). Along with the cigars, everyone received two drink tickets, food, a $15 play card from Dave & Buster’s and a sneak peek copy of the new Madden 2011 game. One attendee asked, “How the hell are they making any money on this?” I for one was not complaining.

To top it all off, UH beat Fresno State 49-27. So, it was a true Smoke Out all the way around.
