From a shimmy showcase to a marketplace of costumes and Middle Eastern wares, the 11th annual Hawai‘i Belly Dance Convention, held at different venues around town Oct. 8–12, covers all aspects of belly dance culture. Expect to see dancers from all over the world as well as local acts, such as Shakti Dance Movement, pictured here.
