Seattle eats: Woodinville tour
Although California’s Napa Valley and Sonoma County get a lot of attention for their wineries, the Pacific Northwest has its own wine country in Woodinville, located just outside Seattle. A foodie tour of the Northwest would not be complete without a visit to Woodinville, so Mark, Gypsy and I made the short 30-minute drive to sample some of the beers, spirits and wines.
13 Coins – Biscuits and gravy
Since we were going to be consuming a lot of liquid calories that day, we decided that a hearty breakfast would be a good idea. 13 Coins is a 24-hour diner located near the Seattle Times building, making it a popular hangout for reporters. While looking at the menu, my eyes instantly gravitated to the biscuits and gravy. The carbs would fill me up and soak up the alcohol I was about to ingest while on our tour of Yakima Valley.
