San Francisco: Day 1

After a week of doing double duty on Nonstop Honolulu, I joined the ranks of vacationing Catherine Toth, John Garcia, and Tracy Chan and left for San Francisco. As you might guess, doing all that plus trying to get ready for a trip left me severely sleep deprived, so I couldn’t post this blog last night due to extreme deliriousness. When you see what I did on my first day in San Francisco, you might hallucinate, too!

The highlight of the day was definitely the California Academy of Science, which turns into a club every Thursday night from 6 to 10 p.m. Most of my photos from yesterday are of this event, and I have to give a big thumbs up to Guy Hagi of Hawaii News Now for telling me about it. I feel so cool just for attending. Here’s what we did:

Upon landing — since it was too early to check in — I wandered the neighborhood to find some breakfast. This looked hole-in-the-wallish enough for me.

Wasn’t that cool? Here’s a quick little video to show you the music at the museum.

Up next: Day two and Off the Grid, a hui of food trucks.
