Rice Fest 2015
The 6th Annual Rice Fest took over the Office Depot parking lot in the Ward area Saturday, for a free one-day event exploring the many different uses of rice and the cultures that use it. The fest included food vendors, activities, live musical entertainment by Heart & Soul, Honoka & Azita, the Ukulele Hale Super Kids and Taiko drummers, a cooking demonstration with Chef Mavro and eating contests.
One of the primary goals of Rice Fest is to bring awareness to Lanakila Meals on Wheels, a program that helps to feed Hawaii’s seniors.
