Psycho-Tropic: Barrio Vintage fashion show
Colorful, crazy vintage fashion was the name of the game at the much buzzed-about Barrio Vintage fashion show Thursday night. A long, circuitous runway at Chinatown’s Manifest took models inside and outside through the club. The show and reception brought out a large crowd of fashion industry faces, trendsetters and trendseekers.
Barrio Vintage is the unconventional brainchild of fashion curators and designers Bradley Rhea and Jon Saupe. Their three-year-old Chinatown boutique carries bright, fun designs from the past. The 2015 show was described as “an immense collection of 1960s/70s tropical psychedelia; designed in a time of sensory freedom and style exploration.”
