Preview: The Groove Hawaii

The Groove Hawaii, a new amusement park in Kaka`ako, opens Saturday, Feb. 22, but I had a chance to check out the Go-Karts earlier this week. I was super excited about racing the gas-powered Go-Karts that can reach speeds of up to 60 mph because I love speed. Whether it’s in a car, jet ski or any other kind of moving vehicle, I’m always maxing out. So how did these Go-Karts handle? Wonderfully. After a quick learning curve the first few laps, I really put the pedal to the medal to see what these Go-Karts were made of. The experience was exhilarating and certainly got my adrenaline pumping. Here’s some POV footage of my race around the track.

Check out the slick passes and even some drifting!

But The Groove has much more to offer besides Go-Kart racing. We got a chance to ride around on the Paradise Pedals Party Bike, which will allow guests to ride around the neighborhood while visiting local lounges and bars. There also will be a 30-foot climbing wall, arcade, billiards, children’s rides and food and drinks.
