Pics: Chinese New Year 2014 Block Party & Parade
Thousands of Hawaii residents and visitors came out on Saturday afternoon for the culmination of a month of festivities celebrating Chinese New Year: An all-day block party and the annual Night in Chinatown Parade to welcome in the Year of the Horse! Cultural favorites like sweet rice Gau, crispy, delicious Jin dui, vegetarian Jai and more were available in abundance, and festivities included lion dances, kung fu demonstrations, characters dressed in traditional garb from Chinese legends and Chinese-themed arts & crafts.
